Until the new year my entries will be short and sweet, if by sweet I mean sick, sad and sarcastic.

My suggestion for post-Christmas glut reading material is Barbara Ehrenreich's Nickle and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America. Libertarians, eat your hearts out (it may be the only sustenance you can afford on minimum wage.) The rest of you will never again experience a guilt-free moment. Revel in it masochists.

My nomination for this Christmas' Scrooge is none other than, G Dubs himself. This year instead of getting a lump of coal. You get to be a lump of coal.
Futility at its finest

In closing, Happy Kwanzaa from Tony Snow who wrote in 1999, as a syndicated columnist (and later White House Press Secretary,) "There is no part of Kwanzaa that is not fraudulent."
Parts of Kwanzaa certainly seem suspect, namely its originator, Ron Karenga. But, if there is one thing that no part of is not fraudulent, it's White House Press Secretaries.
